This is most often the case when liposuction is done in an office-based surgical facility. Other surgeons might require that separate fees be paid for the surgeon, for the anesthesiologist, and for the surgical facility. The fee for liposuction of a single area such as the abdomen, or the outer thighs (the two outer thighs are considered as one area). The fee typically depends on the amount of time and effort required to accomplish the surgery. Often one large area is all that can be safely accomplished on a single day. If the patient has several areas of concern which are not too large, then liposuction of more than one area can often be accomplished on the same day. The fee charged for liposuction of a second or a third area might be less than the fee for a single area, and may range between $900-1200.
